  1. I’ll add a few things that I’ve liked so far. You should be able to find all software through http://www.versiontracker.com.

    Work related:
    * TimeLog – tool to keep track of time spent on projects. generates reports and graphs too.
    * iTaskx – project management software, comparable to MS Project.
    * OmniGraffle Pro – THE alternative to MS Visio.
    * Graphic Converter – the middle road between MS Paint and Paintshop Pro. Performs a lot of basic, graphical tasks and includes a batch processing facility.

    Contact:
    * Colloquy – IRC and SILC client.

    Other:
    * Cocktail – comp. to Onyx.
    * Candybar – tweak all your system’s icons.
    * Uno – unify the look of all your windows to one standard.
    * Mouseposé – literally have a little, mouse controlled spotlight on your screen. very useful in presentations.
    * Delicious Library – a beautiful piece of software to manage your library of books, DVDs, CDs and games. allows the use of an FW cam as a barcode scanner.

    Sound:
    * Audacity – a good, basic editor for just about every sound file you can think of. very popular among Podcasters.
