Tonight we returned to one of our favorite restaurant en do the returning customer. We went to the Middenhof. We had a perfect meal in all ‘quiet’ time available in a full-booked restaurant, its a very busy and restaurant during the weekend. The hostess created all time we needed for a nice and outstanding meal. Luckily this restaurant changes its menu every now and then so you can return without eating the same. Marianne chose a nice ham with melon and pineapple, I chose a minor two starters, snails (including house) and mustard soup with bacon.
Instead of the ‘regular’ two-seaters at the walkthrough we got a private four-seater and this time not in the big room but along the kitchen, so we could see the kitchen and the cooks could see (and laugh with) us. Our main course was delivered by Andries (one of the cooks), nice salmon on dille-sauce for Marianne and a outstanding (and amazing combination) of ‘calfs-oyster’ topped with a small strip of salmon and brie, all on a mustard sauce. We had a hard time getting it all off the plate (as usual with the Middenhof).
Marianne had to think and sigh twice when two coffee and a shared Grand Dessert were delivered to our table, but she found some room in her tummy to stuff it in 🙂 We had a nice after-dinner with the hostess every now and then, and we are looking forward (as is the hostess) to our next visit.
