New routing

2996Following up on a tip of, initially one, two coworkers who already had such a router i’ve ordered one. The first steps were a bit troublesome as apparently VPN, tunneling and firewalling are cumbersome for ‘mainline’ vendors.
A second try with determination as going-in brought some more success but there were some casualties, see the IPv6 post 🙂 Next to that the implementation brought some acceleration into other processes as upgrading some machines and phasing out old tunnels.
The highlight is ISDN support and that also brought back CLID for the normal phones. The router also has support for multiple WAN terminations so multiple ISPs can be used in the future!
A nice deviation from normal days, apart from the neccesary hours of work
