2662A co worker brought his EEE along today and we started admiring it 🙂 Presumably we have a lot of them within the company if I read (and use my eyes) every now and then. Besides being ‘handy’ as a small laptop I kind of question wether its really usable. The EEE’s are, functionality wise, a very nice progress but don’t feature UMTS (or likewise). A USB-dongle is a no-go as far as i’m concerned (either pcmcia(like) or built-in should be the way to head for). Other solutions (not SSD-driven) seem to lack in speed or have too much of a wallsocketdependancy (scrabble-that). All in all i’m not convinced yet. A 1280xsomething touchscreen/laptop combination that brings along wireless/wired/UMTS would be ideal i guess 🙂
