At Snow we can steam ahead to contest number 4, but not without declaring the audience and professional selected winners for the 3rd contest. Yesterday everyone could cast their votes and  Martin Lokven would select the best picture from a professionals point of view. My submission for the ‘water mirror’ theme was a picture of the Pinksterkamp of the Admiraliteit12. The picture of the sea-scouts, lunching aboard the Nieuw Hoorn, did win and not just that but the best picture selected by the professional judge! Together with a colleague – and both allowed one guest – to head for nature with Martin on a workshop!
Description of the submission;
Title : Lunch aboard
Location : Eiland van Maurik
Camera : Sony A350
Date : Pinksterkamp Admiraliteit12.nl 2010
Story :The picture shows a moored ‘wachtschip’ where besides lunch also suntanning is on the program. The slacked more line delivers a playfull look on reality as the picture was turned upside down.
Judge comment;
Good spot! And what an excellent idea to mirror the image. Nice monochrome coloring! Well cropped into view. The vertical structures of the masts go well with the massive form of the vessel. The Golden Cut/Rule of Thirds in mind, the person on the left is on the focuspoint to the lower  and upper left and the group on the right on the focus points upper and lower right. Fantastic detail: The one hand to the mouth!
