In an earlier blog I posted about my backgrounds in the header – there are some additions now! See the bottom of this post for which ones are new!
The new pictures all come from Gaia Zoo in Kerkrade, a very nice zoo/park. If you expect to see a generic zoo than you’ll be in for a surprise. The park is set out very wide and has lot’s of paths to walk along. For kids there is a sort-of ‘continuous’ discovery-trail on various locations along the paths. Behind every turn there is a nice environment for one or more animals. Very different from the ‘cage-to-cage’ strolling you normally have. The highlights of the park are the animal-feed times, but don’t miss out on the birds-of-prey shows!
All in all a fantastic day, especially when you take home these pictures!
